Project Outline
The aim of the DIMOP research project was to develop software that supports the design process of products by calculating recyclability and offering alternative materials. For this purpose, material data were collected, systematized and generalized for relevant and material-related problem areas in recycling. Based on the data, algorithmic method was developed to identify alternative materials that have better recyclability than those used. The algorithm is based on the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) aproach TOPSIS. The project was developed as a web application packaged in a Docker container for ease of use.
